Thank You Hashem: Freed Hostage Luis Har Says ‘Hagomel’ At Moving Event

In a moving scene, Luis Har, who was rescued by Israeli special forces, visited Yeshivat Bnei Akiva in Givat Shmuel, to recite HaGomel.

Luis Har was taken hostage during the Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas terrorists and was freed together with Fernando Simon Marman, during an Israeli special forces operation in February, after 129 cruel days in Hamas captivity in Rafah.

He said of his time in captivity in an interview with NPR, “Every time we fell into depression, we overcame it with stories. We started to say, where are we going to travel to today in our minds?”

Luis was greeted by the Yeshivah bochurim with a joyous display of Achdus, who surrounded him, singing and dancing, with Israeli flags. He then benched ‘HaGomel—thanking Hashem for saving him from the mouth of evil.
