Benny Friedman Concert On Track With New, Bigger London Venue

By Shmooze.News
Chassidishe Singer Benny Friedman has secured a new—and bigger—venue for his London concert on January 6th. The new venue is The Lighthouse Camberwell just a few miles east of the original venue the Clapham Grand—which bowed out due to ‘security concerns.’
As previously reported by Shmooze News, the Am Yisroel Chai tour was scheduled to take place at London’s Clapham Grand venue on January 6th, headlined by Benny Friedman, one of the most popular superstars in Jewish music.
Despite the enthusiasm for the concert, ACM Events faced significant headwinds when securing a venue for the London concert—venues were unwilling to host a public Jewish event or be associated with a pro-Israel sentiment.
On Wednesday, Benny Freidman shared an update, “We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve secured a new venue for the London concert, and ticket sales are now open again! The new venue boasts a 50% larger capacity, allowing us to share this experience with an even broader audience.
We’re deeply grateful to The Lighthouse Camberwell Theatre that graciously offered their space after learning about the challenges we faced with our previous venue. Due to security concerns surrounding antisemitic protests, our original venue was forced to cancel.
He added, “some individuals have been targeting our previous theatre with negative contacts and reviews.” And condemned these actions “as the Lubavitcher Rebbe taught us, rather than combating darkness, we should focus on increasing the light. Let’s respond to this challenge by coming together in a spirit of Achdus (unity) and Simcha (joy), uplifting each other without putting others down.”
“London, we look forward to seeing you on January 6!” he concluded. Tickets can be purchased at linktr.ee/bennysmusic
Double Standards at play
As we noted in our original report, There is a big double standard here, as Clapham Grand hosted a pro-Palestinian fundraiser in November, which benefitted the London-based “Medical Aid for Palestinians” organization—which has attacked Israel numerous times.
The venue did not cancel the event due to so-called ‘security concerns’ and proudly promoted the event. Yet Benny’s concert isn’t a fundraiser, rather it is a solitary event—to promote Jewish pride, as anti-Semitism runs rampant in London and across the globe.
